Encaustic Painting

Encaustic Art -
Over 2000 years ago the ancient Greek, Egyptians and Romans
used beeswax as a painting medium.
It was melted, colored with earth pigments and used to create pictures.
These images are produced by melting colored beeswax onto an iron
and applying it to a non-absorbent surface.
The resulting layers create unique and surprising images.
I love to paint - I love to paint because it makes me happy!
